New Notice Board
We at EmergencyMedicine.in are pleased to announce the start of our new NOTICE BOARD & CLASSIFIEDS
The explosive growth & awareness of emergency medicine in India has generated immense interest in various courses, workshops and training programs like BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, EMTC, MCEM, etc. The only way for interested people to know the dates of various courses & workshops happening in India is to call up individual institutes at random.
Our intention was to streamline this process of finding the type of course, location & latest dates of a particular course or workshop. Not only this, we also want institutes to find the right emergency physicians, nurses & EMTs (paramedics) for their emergency departments through our classifieds ads. We had this idea in our development pipeline for the last few weeks and finally managed to launch it now.
Any classified advertisement related to emergency medicine, emergency medical services (EMS or prehospital care) or EM subspecialties in India can be placed here. Dates for courses, workshops, exams and other schedules & announcements can also be forwarded to us for placement.
I hope that this notice board will also add to the growth of emergency medicine in India in the coming years.

SPECIAL OFFER!
All appropriate advertisements forwarded to us will be put up for FREE! till January 31st 2009.

Contributions to the Development of Emergency Medicine in India
From Editor's Desk - Editorial June-July 2008
Go to an emergency medicine conference in the US and mingle into posh NRI crowd. The most common question asked by people is Does Emergency Medicine exist in India? You are likely to hear the answer coming from an Indian living in the US that EM does not exist in India, but we are doing everything we can to bring the specialty to that country.
Our newest specialty in the field of medicine and trauma has many self proclaimed owners. They speak of a scenario which existed more than a decade ago and many of them have never even stepped into India recently.
Emergency medicine and allied services is a multibillion dollar industry for a country. You are very wrong if you think that affiliation to an Institute in US comes for free and that they are supporting us. Indian institutes have the capacity to pay in hundreds of thousand of dollars per year for affiliations and this is pure business.
