A candidate MUST pass MCEM part A before he/she is eligible to apply for Part B & C. (See point 4 in the MCEM regulations document) Various residencies satisfying the ACCS common care stem of the College of Emergency Medicine are recognised towards entry into Part B & C. Apollo residencies are officially recognised.

As far as I am aware, SRMC Chennai has got its residency recognised, but you will have to confirm this.

A candidate may be eligible for part B &C even if he/she has not gone thorugh any of the known residency programs. He/she has to apply under the overseas applicants and show proof of completing the required rotations from any reputable institute.

But obviously, it is unlikely for a candidate to pass the exit exam without a particular level of clinical & academic training in EM.
