The Society for Trauma & Emergency Pediatrics (STEP) has announced the commencement of the 1 year Fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at four Indian institutes.
Advance Pediatric Centre, PGI, Chandigarh
Institute of Child Health, Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi
Institute of Child Health, Chennai
Manipal Hospital, Bangalore
The 1 year program which has its curriculum & examination process defined by STEP, is endorsed both by STEP and the Society for Emergency Medicine India (SEMI).
Doctors who have completed their MD/DNB/DCH in Pediatrics, MD in Emergency Medicine, MCEM (UK) or MEM (Emergency Medicine) are eligible to enroll for the program.
The Pediatric EM Fellowships, along with EM Ultrasound Fellowship at Apollo Hyderabad, have set the ball rolling for sub-specialty training for emergency physicians in India.
